We're a family that prints multi-color decor plates and seasonal pieces at home. Each one is built up layer by layer in as many as nine colors, then checked and packed by hand.

We print in small batches as each season comes around, so new pieces show up in the shop a few weeks ahead of the holiday.

How it's made
From spool to your shelf
Pick the design
We choose designs we'd want in our own house, then test-print them before they go in the shop.
Load the colors
Up to nine filament colors go into the printer, so a single plate can change color as it grows.
Print layer by layer
Each piece is built from hundreds of thin layers. A plate can take several hours to finish.
Check and pack
We clean up every piece, look it over by hand and pack it carefully for shipping.

Made at home, in small batches
It started with one printer on Black Friday. Now the whole family prints.
Homespun Layers began when our son brought home a 3D printer. It didn't take long before the rest of us were hooked, and now nearly everyone in the house has a favorite piece they like to print.
We started the shop so we could do something together that we all enjoy. Every order is made by one of us, in our home, and we're grateful to everyone who gives one of our pieces a spot in theirs.
